The highest branch of government and largest judiciary body within this society.

Meant to embody justice and righteousness, members are considered all-purpose civil servants and front-line agents against injustice and threats to citizen welfare.

The Clementbox is very selective with those it chooses to employ. Those within it tend to be highly capable, militaristically efficient, and passionate about the Clementbox's mission above all else. Many of them are former Public Safety officers, but they may be recruited from any faction or non-faction.

All Clementbox employees must pass the Combatant Licensing Exam.

The Clementbox is a massive, perfectly cubic building located to one side of the Locus City Central Plaza. With its towering height and huge mass, it is visible from most points in the city and dwarfs many of the surrounding buildings.

The interior is clean, spacious, and mostly comprised of concrete and glass. Its high ceilings and stark, cool walls give a feeling of utilitarianism. Several displays are set up on a rotating basis in the lobby that detail the history of the Clementbox and the reigns of each Archangel.

There is a small cafeteria on the first floor providing at-cost meals to anyone who enters, and restrooms are open to the general public.

The upper levels are restricted by clearance β€” a relatively high authorization is required to even make it past the employee entrance, and the level increases the higher up one goes.

If one were to make it to the upper floors, they would find it surprisingly ordinary. Rows of plain, quiet, unadorned cubicles line the space, and one-way floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to filter in. The majority of the city is visible from the top of the Clementbox. The people look like ants from its vantage.

    The Clementbox is presided over by the Archangel, a title and office passed on through generations of society members. Anyone can become the Archangel, but it has historically been a Clementbox or Public Safety officer.

    Each Archangel chooses their successor.

    Clement himself was born in an orphanage in the West Ward. Never knowing his parents, he became a Public Safety officer once he came of age, and was afterwards directly named by the previous Archangel for the position.

    He puts heavy emphasis on support for social programs.
